Alveare Short

Texture is the most honest form of surface decoration — it cannot be applied, only constructed. The Alveare Short builds its entire visual identity from its waffle-knit weave: a three-dimensional honeycomb surface that gives 70% cotton and 30% polyester a dimensional depth that flat fabric cannot achieve. Its mineral wash treatment then works on that surface with the patient authority of the Sicilian sea — deepening the texture, softening the tone, and giving each piece a character that no two pieces share exactly.

Design & Construction
Loose unisex fit. Mid-rise waist with interior drawstring. Waffle-knit construction — the defining technical element, creating a three-dimensional honeycomb surface texture. Mineral wash treatment gives each piece a uniquely aged tonal depth. Length: approximately 20–22 inches depending on size. Color: refer to product image for exact mineral-washed shade. Note: Minor batch differences in dye and processing are inherent to the mineral-wash process.

Sensation
The waffle-knit surface provides a textured, dimensional feel that is distinct from standard fleece or cotton — firm enough to carry its own architecture, breathable enough for Atlanta's warmer months. The mineral wash softens the surface without compromising the structural integrity of the knit pattern. Substantial for a short, with the presence of a piece that has been chosen rather than defaulted to.

Use
Pair with a Gatto Bianco heavyweight tee in Bianco or Grezzo, always worn loose over the waistband. The dimensional texture of the waffle knit means the short contributes its own visual weight to the composition — no need for additional pattern or graphic. Leather sandals or minimal sneakers.
